Tour and Travel Entrepreneur’s Brainchild Is YOUR Value Priced Company
“I’ve got the best prices out there,” says an assured owner/tour operator Mark Dvorak. This guy’s not shy about why he named the business “Value Priced Vacations.” He cuts out the middleman. With thousands of flier miles to his credit and averaging a dozen personal jaunts to Mexico per year for over two decades, Mark has built his own extensive network of industry relationships that ensure you get the best vacation for the money. “If it’s travel to Mexico (or the Caribbean) you want, I’m the right guy to call.”
Call it the ultimate in deal making. Mark uses his extensive knowledge and contacts to fashion your personalized Mexico vacation. “I start from your needs, and get you exactly what you want . . . and more!” It’s like a game. (Some have given him the name, “The Ultimate Go-getter.”)
Names like Ixtapa and Cozumel, Punta Cana, Guanacaste, and Cabo San Lucas flow effortlessly during a conversation, as easily as his native tongue. A Midwesterner by birth, Mexico is his second home, by choice.
"I love to travel, and enjoy the challenge of using my brains and experience to save myself money by getting the best deals possible,” says this travel entrepreneur. “Even more exciting is building my business around what I love."
Mark doesn’t suppose about vacations, he knows about vacations. Why? Because he’s personally familiar with the destinations he sells. In fact, he’s checked out 99% of the hotels in Mexico. From memory, he can quote you cab fare to the best places to visit in his favorite cities (ALL are his favorites!) and surrounding venues. Mark’s taken the eco-tours. He’s experienced the zip-line excursions. He’s showered in 5 Diamond Rated Resorts while enjoying unrestricted views of the ocean. Dining? Just ask him about prime locations for food and drink. VP Vacations wouldn’t operate without the energy and business savvy of Mark Dvorak.
This operator’s been in the tour business for 23 years, since age 19 when he went to work for his father’s travel business. He learned the importance of sweat equity and how it strengthens a person’s character. Sometimes, the day’s work would exceed 12 hours, and often, max out at 20. “You can’t have everything handed to you,” says Mark. Hard work and determination have contributed to Mark’s success in the travel industry, positioning him as a major influence in the industry for over 23 years.
During his college years, while earning a degree in Geography (with an emphasis on travel and tourism), Mark created an innovative start-up, called Sun Breaks Student Vacations. This company eventually merged with two east coast companies to become StudentCity.com, the largest student travel company in North America. The company offered students (who were always hurting for money) great vacations to their favorite destinations at affordable prices. After eight successful years, Mark, along with the other Vice-Presidents/partners, decided to sell StudentCity.com to First Choice Holidays (now known as TUI Travel, PLC).
Ten years later the entrepreneurial compulsion returned. Mark again ventured off on his own, launching Value Priced Vacations in 2009, bringing the business back to the Midwest and his Minnesota home. However, this new company was designed to fill the economy niche for singles, couples, families, and groups as well as students.
Today these individuals, looking for economical but memorable vacations, can find leisure and golf packages to Mexico and the Caribbean. Laughlin is also a popular golfing destination, with Las Vegas an easy side trip, or a destination in and of itself.
